The Asian Development Outlook (ADO) July 2025.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its Asian Development Outlook (ADO) July 2025, released on July 23, the Asian Development Bank revised down its growth forecasts for developing Asia and the Pacific, including Viet Nam. The country’s GDP growth is now expected to reach 6.3 percent in 2025 and 6.0 percent in 2026, down from the bank’s earlier projections of 6.6 percent and 6.5 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ADB also warned of downside risks arising from a volatile global trade environment and rising U.S. import tariffs, which could adversely affect Viet Nam’s export performance and investment inflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate projection, the World Bank estimated that Viet Nam’s economy will grow by 6.8 percent in 2025, moderating to 6.5 percent in 2026, supported by robust export activity, public investment, and a recovery in the real estate sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the OECD forecast GDP growth of 6.2 percent in 2025 and 6.0 percent in 2026, highlighting continued strength in domestic consumption and public investment, while noting the economy’s exposure to external trade risks.\/.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
