Over 500 Executives Join Professor Hồ Tú Bảo to Explore the Intersection of AI and Humanity

13/10/2025

On October 11, 2025, FPT School of Business and Technology, FPT University, successfully hosted its October Management Seminar themed “AI, Humans, and Development.”

The event brought together over 500 participants from FSB’s postgraduate programs — MBA, MSE, LBM, and Global MiniMBA — joining both on-site at FSB Hanoi and virtually across the country.

The seminar was honored to welcome Professor Hồ Tú Bảo, Director of the Data Science Laboratory at the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and Honorary Professor at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST).

With more than four decades of experience in Artificial Intelligence research, Professor Hồ delivered profound insights into how AI is reshaping our world — and how humans must adapt and evolve in harmony with it.

AI: Not Just Technology, but a Human Story

In his keynote, Professor Hồ Tú Bảo guided business leaders to look beyond the technical side of AI — to truly understand its essence, its transformative power, and the opportunities and challenges it poses for individuals and organizations in the digital era.

He emphasized:

“In the age of AI, value no longer lies in answers — but in good, new, and creative questions. The ability to ask is one of humanity’s core strengths in this new era.”

From this perspective, the seminar sparked deep reflections on the role and limitations of human beings in the age of AI — an era where technology can optimize and augment, but it is still humans who create, lead, and take responsibility for sustainable development.

Along with opportunities, Professor Hồ also underscored the ethical, data, and dependency risks that AI brings, urging leaders to be vigilant, proactive, and human-centered in integrating AI into their strategic growth agendas.

Leadership in the AI Era: To Lead Is to Pioneer

Beyond technical knowledge, Professor Hồ highlighted a timeless truth about leadership in the digital age:

“To lead a team, a leader must first be a pioneer — ready to learn, adapt, and evolve alongside change.”

Connecting Knowledge, Spreading Values

The seminar “AI, Humans, and Development” is part of FSB’s Monthly Management Seminar Series, designed to connect knowledge, share experience, and cultivate modern leadership mindsets.

Each session offers FSB learners access to practical, expert-driven insights in management, technology, and innovation — while providing a platform for discussion, reflection, and problem-solving on real leadership challenges.

Continuing that mission, this seminar was not only a knowledge-sharing session about AI, but also an open learning space where FSB leaders and learners could listen, share, and inspire one another.

Here, every participant had the chance to explore answers to real management dilemmas, sharpen their critical thinking, and strengthen their capacity to ask, reflect, and lead — the essential competencies of leaders in the AI era.

Through this ongoing series of meaningful seminars, FSB continues its commitment to nurturing transformative leaders — empowering learners to go beyond knowledge, embrace innovation, and confidently lead change for themselves, their teams, and their organizations.
