FPT University Wins at The PIEoneer Awards with Groundbreaking AI Education Campaign

FPT University has been honored at the prestigious PIEoneer Awards – widely known as the “Oscars of Education” – for its impactful campaign “STEM Education in the Age of AI.” The initiative has brought free AI training and STEM education to more than 15,000 school leaders, teachers, and students in Vietnam and abroad.

The award ceremony was held on September 5 at Guildhall, London, with 148 finalists competing across 22 categories. FPT University triumphed in the Marketing Campaign of the Year category, becoming the first Vietnamese university to ever receive this recognition on the global stage.

According to the organizers, this award celebrates creative and inspiring campaigns that deliver measurable impact in international education. FPT University stood alongside world-renowned institutions such as the University of Manchester and the University of Oxford, yet emerged as the sole winner from Vietnam.

Launched in 2024, the campaign was designed at a time when Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping both education and the workforce. Its activities have since expanded nationwide, including:

The “Principal 4.0” forum with 1,200 school leaders in attendance.

AI-focused training programs for 8,500 teachers.

Experiential AI learning activities for 3,600 students.

The “STEM in AI Era” program, delivered to nearly 4,700 teachers through both online and offline formats.

The curriculum spans Python programming, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, and AI-driven applications for lesson planning, presentations, and project-based learning. By doing so, the campaign has strengthened digital capabilities and inspired innovation among educators and students alike.

Beyond direct training, “STEM Education in the Age of AI” has reached millions online and attracted strong support from leading technology companies. Its success also aligns with Vietnam’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW on developing high-quality human resources for the digital era—empowering future generations to become creative, confident, and responsible digital citizens.

As a pioneer in technology-driven education, FPT University has also launched a series of large-scale initiatives, including FPTU GenAI Day, online learning programs, teacher training projects, and the upcoming GenAI 2025 Tech Exhibition, each drawing thousands of participants.
