Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program at FPT University (Hanoi) Earns ACBSP International Accreditation

June 21, 2025 – The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program of the FPT School of Business & Technology (FSB), FPT University (Hanoi), has officially been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), USA, meeting international quality standards in education. This marks the first MBA program in Vietnam to receive full accreditation under ACBSP’s evaluation.

The MBA program at FPT University (Hanoi) has been evaluated to fully meet all 7 international accreditation standards set by ACBSP, including: leadership; strategic planning; student and stakeholder focus; student learning assessment; faculty qualifications; curriculum; and operational effectiveness of the business education unit. Notably, several criteria were recognized for outstanding compliance, reflecting the university’s serious investment and long-term commitment to quality. This full accreditation is valid until 2035.

Earlier, from February 26 to 28, 2025, FPT University (Hanoi) welcomed an ACBSP evaluation team consisting of international experts in business, finance, and education. The team conducted an on-site assessment, reviewing the curriculum, teaching methodologies, facilities, and student support services.

Beyond academic criteria, the evaluation team also engaged with students, alumni, faculty, employers, and university administrators to collect multi-dimensional insights and assess how well the program aligns with labor market demands.

Becoming the first Vietnamese university to receive full ACBSP accreditation for its MBA program is seen as a major milestone in improving training quality and enhancing the university’s international integration.

According to Dr. Nguyen Viet Thang – Dean of FPT School of Business & Technology (FSB), FPT University, FPT Corporation: “Achieving international accreditation from ACBSP is the result of ongoing efforts to enhance educational quality and adhere to the strict professional standards set by the accrediting body. For our students, especially as AI reshapes the business landscape and leadership skills, the ACBSP accreditation not only confirms our program’s international quality but also delivers real value, helping them adapt to the new era of digital transformation and management.”

FSB – FPT University is currently one of only two representatives from Vietnam that are members of the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS), which includes 147 top institutions in the region. Additionally, FSB is ranked among the Top 24 MBA schools in East Asia by Eduniversal – a recognition of its excellence in postgraduate business education.

These achievements not only solidify FSB’s position on the regional and global education map but also demonstrate the university’s strong commitment to sustainable development and the internationalization of Vietnam’s higher education.
